Alumni Achievements

This department was established in 1958, and master’s and doctoral programs were respectively established in 1971 and 1976. To date, more than 4,000 graduates have made their mark in various industries. The achievements of alumni over the years are briefly summarized in the fields of academia and business as follows:

1. Academia

In the early years, many graduates from this department pursued further studies abroad, with most obtaining doctoral degrees. For example, among the 40 graduates in the second cohort, 25 earned doctoral degrees. Alumni from this department are distributed across various industries. In terms of academic achievements, approximately 600 alumni have obtained doctoral degrees, and many have excelled in universities or research institutions.

★Zhang Xinzhen received the Chemical Technology Award from the Chinese Chemical Society in 1999.

★Lin Kuanju received the Young Scholar Achievement Award from Academia Sinica.
